Summary

Find out how three senior school leaders are judged in their attempts to become headteacher. They all have an ambition to run their own school one day - but have they got what it takes?

Elaine, Joy and Chris are members of the senior leadership team at Colne Community School in Essex. In this programme, all three get the chance to prove they are capable of becoming their school's next headteacher. Each gives a presentation, undergoes a formal interview and takes part in an interactive task designed to test their team and leadership skills.

Judging the candidates' performances are Jill Clough a consultant with The National College, Rosemary Prince a schools adviser from Essex County Council, and two of the school governors, Sonia Grantham and Roger Carey-Smith.
